Birmingham St Patrick’s Day Festival is excited to announce that FREE tickets are now available for the festival’s main event this year; the St Pat Rocks Stage!

As previously announced, the traditional St Patrick’s Parade is unable to go ahead, but organisers are looking forward to welcoming back families to Digbeth on what would be “Parade Day”.

The legendary Irish folk band Beoga, best known for working alongside Ed Sheeran on his hit song "Galway Girl, will headline the St Pat Rocks stage, alongside homegrown Irish dancers. Beoga will be joined by other famous Birmingham Irish bands performing include Heed, Lampa and The Father Teds.

Beogas world-facing potential was proven by the popularity of their collaborations with Ed Sheeran on his all-conquering ‘÷’ album. Those two songs - ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Nancy Mulligan’ - have been streamed over a billion times on Spotify alone. Their creative connection continued with some huge outdoor shows, including an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime moment when they joined Ed during his headline set at Glastonbury.

Taking place in the heart of Birmingham’s Irish Quarter at the Zellig Car Park, there will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to celebrate, with Guinness on tap to cater to everyone’s stout needs, and some of Birmingham’s best street food traders joining in on the action.

While initial plans were that an entry fee would be charged, upon reflection the St Patrick’s committee - a group of volunteers themselves - have decided to offer tickets for FREE online although donations are welcome, continuing the tradition of a Free, Fun, Family day out in Birmingham, organised by the community for the community.

Free tickets are now available here and the St Patrick’s Festival Birmingham is looking forward to welcoming the community from Birmingham and beyond back for a well-deserved celebration after a long awaited return. Anyone who has already purchased tickets in the last week will be able to receive a refund from eventbrite following the event, or you can choose to donate the cost of your ticket to next year’s parade fund.
